Why adults and seniors participate
Dedicated categories — you compete only with peers of your own age group, not with students or young professionals.
No skill bar — self-taught, hobbyist, or professional — all are welcome. Judges value expression and theme interpretation, not formal training.
Certificate for every entry — a digital Certificate of Participation that recognises your creative effort.
Creative wellness — art is proven to reduce stress, improve cognitive health, and bring joy. This competition gives a purpose and a deadline to pick up the brush.
Family can help submit — a son, daughter, or grandchild can photograph the artwork and upload it.

Theme for July 2026: India Through My Eyes — One Nation. Many Stories.
Your life experience gives you a unique lens on every theme. Consider painting:
A memory — a place, a person, a moment from your past
A vision — what you hope the future looks like
A tradition — a cultural practice, a festival, a family ritual
A landscape — the world as you see it from your window, your garden, your neighbourhood
An abstract — colours and shapes that express how the theme makes you feel
How to submit
Draw or paint on any medium — paper, canvas, board, or digital.
Photograph the artwork in good light. Full artwork visible, no shadows.
Go to our home page and click "Submit Artwork". (A family member can do this for you.)
Enter your name, age group (Under 59 or Above 60), city, state.
Upload the photo. Confirmation email arrives instantly.
If you manage a senior community, retirement home, or wellness group, you can organise a group art session around the monthly theme and submit entries for all participants. Email contact@artforawareness.art — we'll help set up bulk submission for your group.
Frequently asked questions
I'm 45. Where do I fit?
If you're not a student, teacher, principal, or corporate employee, you'd enter as Others (Under 59 years). If you are employed, the Corporate category (by work experience) may be more appropriate.
I'm 75 and have never painted before. Can I still enter?
Absolutely. Many of our most heartfelt entries come from first-time painters. There is no skill requirement — just draw what the theme inspires in you.
Can my grandchild submit for me?
Yes. Any family member can photograph the artwork and submit it on your behalf through our website.
Is there a fee?
No. No entry fee. No charges of any kind.
When do results come out?
5 August 2026 for this round. Certificates are emailed automatically.
