Report Artwork / Takedown Request
Last updated: October 1, 2026Art for Awareness lets school students and other participants upload their own original artwork. If you believe a piece of artwork on our website infringes your copyright or other rights, shows someone without permission, or is otherwise unlawful or harmful, please tell us. We take these reports seriously and act on them quickly.
1. How to report
Email contact@artforawareness.art with the subject line Takedown request. On the gallery, the Report link under each artwork opens an email with the artwork reference already filled in.
2. What to include
- The web address (URL) of the artwork, or its artwork reference from the Report link.
- A short description of what is wrong: for example, "this copies my drawing", "my child's photo or name is shown without our consent", or "this content is unlawful".
- For copyright complaints: a description or link to the original work you own, and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your name and email address, so we can reply. If you are reporting on behalf of a child, say so.
- A statement that the information you give is accurate and that you are making the report in good faith.
3. What we do
- We acknowledge your report within 24 hours.
- We may hide the artwork from public view while we look into it.
- We remove content that infringes rights or is unlawful, and we resolve your report within 15 days of receiving it, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- We tell you the outcome. We may share your report with the participant (or their parent or guardian) so they can respond, but we do not publish your contact details.
- Participants who repeatedly upload infringing or unlawful artwork are removed from the platform.
4. Our upload rules
Everyone who uploads artwork must confirm that it is their own original work, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that it contains nothing unlawful or harmful. We may remove any artwork at any time if it breaks these rules. See our Terms of Service.
5. Privacy complaints about a child's data
If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's artwork, name or other data removed, use the same email address. See our Privacy Policy for your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
