About Art for Awareness

Last updated: · Founded 2025 · hello@artforawareness.art

What we are: Art for Awareness is a free monthly drawing and painting competition platform open to every age in India โ€” from kindergarten children to senior citizens. Every participant receives a digital Certificate of Participation. Winners in each of 16 grade-based categories receive cash prizes.

Our mission

Make creative expression and meaningful recognition accessible to every Indian, regardless of age, school, city, or income. We believe a child's first encounter with a " competition" should feel safe, fair, and welcoming โ€” not gated by entry fees or bureaucracy.

How we're different

Free for everyone

No entry fees, no hidden charges, no premium upgrades. Prizes and operations are

Certificate for every entrant

Every child who submits a drawing gets a digital Certificate of Participation. Not just winners. Effort is recognised.

Grade-based fairness

A Class 3 student is only judged against other Class 3 students. 16 separate grade categories from LKG to senior citizens.

Cause-based monthly themes

Each month is tied to a UN-recognised cause: World Environment Day, Mental Health Day, Human Rights Day. Art with meaning.

Themes integrate naturally with the art-integrated learning. Schools can plug us in directly.

Teacher-mediated submissions, minimal personal data, explicit guardian consent. Privacy first.

How it works (the short version)

  1. On day 1 of every month, we announce a new theme + the month's corporate sponsor
  2. For 25 days, participants of every age submit one artwork per person online
  3. An independent jury reviews entries within their grade category
  4. Public voting opens for shortlisted entries (3 days)
  5. Winners declared. Every participant gets a certificate. The corporate sponsor gets the impact report.

Who's behind the platform

Art for Awareness is run by a small team of educators, designers, and developers based in India. Our jury includes professional artists, art teachers, and topic-experts relevant to each month's cause theme.

We're committed to keeping the platform genuinely free, fair, and welcoming. Corporate partners who fund a month's prizes get visibility but never editorial control over entries or judging.
